Plant Maintenance Manager Liberty Magona
Emanuele Gentili has over 20 years experience in the steel industry.
He joined La Magona in 2001 as workers on the Galvanizing Line Dept.
In 2002 he moved to Engineering Department (mechanical sector) where over the years he has helped in the revamping of the oven section of the Galvanizing Line No. 2, the installation of the heat recovery unit on Galvanizing Line No. 4 and the restart of the rolling mill after a major fire as responsible of the Mechanical activity.
He has lead the industrial safety of the plant, putting in place the lines’ extinguishing systems as well driving the construction of the new galvanizing line 5 in 2008, having been responsible for the mechanical and structural engineering works from the conception phase all the way through to the line’s assembly and commissioning.
In 2010, he assumed the responsibility of the Engineering Department with the responsibility of the extraordinary maintenance budget and the plan’s civil, electrical and mechanical activity.
In 2015 he became the plant’s Head of Technical Area with responsibility for all ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of production lines, infrastructures, engineering & investment, auxiliary systems and real estate.
In 2016 he also took on responsibility of the warehouse for the supply of the plant
He also technically support for SMEPP, the logistics company responsible for handling both stowed goods and packaged products transiting through Piombino port.
He graduated in Industrial Engineering at the University of Florence in 2003.
