Are you ready to present your decarbonization proposal for Steel during COP28 in Dubai, this December? Join our AQ challenge! 

Liberty Steel Group, in partnership with Khalifa University, is thrilled to extend an invitation to all postgraduate and Ph.D. students, as well as alumni worldwide, to contribute masterminding proposals aimed at expediting the decarbonisation process within steel production. The creators of the top three proposals will be invited to pitch live in Dubai on December 8th, with a guaranteed cash prize up to USD $30,000. The most exceptional proposal will be incubated at one of our global hubs in 2024. 

Here are the highlights:  

• Theme: Energy Efficiency and Circularity in the Steel Industry   
• Participation: Teams of up to 3 students (including alumni) or individual participants   

• Proposal entry submission deadline: October 2nd , 2023  
• Date of final award: December 8th, in Dubai, UAE (travel costs for finalists will be covered)    
• Prizes: Cash awards of USD $30K, USD $15K, and USD $5K for the first, second, and third places, respectively.  
  Additionally, the first-prize winning team will receive an incubation opportunity for their idea during the calendar year 2024 within one of our global hubs.
